(02) Narjan
Narjan, meaning ‘Fire Soul’ in Arabic, is a brand celebrating traditional Tunisian harissa—a chili paste deeply rooted in Maghreb cuisine. To set Narjan apart from competitors, I infused a playful, vibrant energy into the brand through bold, dynamic illustrations, reflecting its rich cultural heritage with a modern twist.

Logo design
I designed a lettering logo inspired by the curves of Arabic script and the shape of an ignited flame. This concept symbolizes the fiery, spicy essence of the harissa and captures the dynamic energy of Arabic typography found on the streets of Tunisia.

Secondary Typeface
& Brand color
I choose two secondary typefaces Rund and Silva Display for my visual identity, their sharp, pointed forms echo the bold spirit of our signature spicy harissa, and play a crucial role in ensuring readability while preserving the essence of Narjan. Complementing this, our curated color palette captures the fiery intensity of harissa at first glance, with each hue thoughtfully representing a spectrum of heat—from a mild spice to a extra spicy.
